Why don’t you charge an hourly rate like other accountants?
We’ve taken a fresh new approach and have moved away from the traditional charging models found in professional service firms. We prefer to work based on value rather than price per unit or hour… All of our packages have fixed monthly costs, so you know exactly what you are paying and when you are paying it.
Can I change plans or cancel at any time?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Leaving us or closing up shop? We’ll calculate a wash-up figure to get you all closed off.
Are there additional costs?
All of our packages have fixed monthly costs, so you know exactly what you are paying and when you are paying it. This is great for cash flow and means no surprises for you. If we complete any services outside of your package we will notify you of the expected cost before we start the work. Transparency is paramount.
What is Xero and do I have to use it?
Xero is the latest in accounting technology and is a market leader in cloud accounting software. 100% of our clients use Xero and become greatly more efficient because of it. It’s the smart business choice!
What are the Xero set up costs?
Full set up in Xero, including bank feeds, loading of comparative and year to date data and training on how to use it, incurs a one off fee of $450 +GST. We just need your reconciled cashbook, excel spreadsheet or MYOB trial balance to get started.
Is Xero support included?
All of our packages include phone and email support for Xero. We are experts with the software and are only too happy to answer any of your questions.
How long will the transition from my old accountant take?
We will manage the whole transition to make it as smooth as possible. Once you have confirmed you would like to use our services the full transition will take no more than 3 weeks.
What if I have more than one entity?
Depending on what’s involved with the additional entities we may set them up on another package. If they’re small then we can customise a package to suit your needs.
Will I be given training on how to use Xero?
Yes. As part of your Xero implementation we will provide full training to everyone in your organisation who needs to use Xero. We will also provide ongoing support and maintenance as part of your monthly service fee.
How do I pay?
Once you have decided on your package we will set you up on a direct debit. This takes the hassle out of paying your accounting bill; everything is automated so you have nothing to worry about.
What if I start part way through a year?
We will discuss this with you on a case by case basis. In some circumstances, e.g., if your old accountant hasn’t completed your previous year’s financial statements, we will provide an upfront quote for this work. Your package then takes care of everything else moving forward.
